OUR NEXT FOUNDATION LICENCE TRAINING STARTS 26th of November and there is still time to register. Email address below for further info.
Welcome to the Mid Ulster Amateur Radio Club (MUARC) licence training information.
With the onset of restrictions, all of our training on the Foundation licence and Intermediate licence levels will take place over Zoom. We would love to be back at in-person training but it just isn’t possible right now.
We aim to run 3 or 4 foundation training sessions a year and 1 Intermediate session a year.
The foundation training lasts 5 weeks with added weeks on for recap study if needed. Our team of trainers have been leading top class training for a number of years now.
Our online process differs slightly to our in-person training. We will conduct the training as organised then it is up to the candidate to book their own exam session through the RSGB exam Remote Invigilation portal here.
Previously the club would have hosted their own exam sessions on all the licence levels but that’s just not possible right now.
There is a cost to our training sessions which include a years free membership of the club. The details of costs can be discussed on request via the exam secretary.
Although we do run set dates for our foundation training, if you and a couple of friends are interested in completing the foundation training then the training team can deliever training on request if the details are suitable. So do request more information if you are interested.
The hobby of amateur radio is a great diverse hobby so whats stopping you? There is something for everyone.
If you would be interested in starting a fantastic hobby, then please email the exam secretary Dave at dcparkinson (at) icloud .com for further enquiries.
